OUCH!

Bumps, scrapes, broken bones, and now her first little surgery. Morgan as I mentioned before is fearless. She has in her short little almost 9 years experienced a lot of the usual, and not so usual child hood injuries. Today, we visited the doctor to have an in grown toe nail removed. I always thought that in grown toe nails happened when you were old (sorry Mike), but once again Morgan has been able to prove me wrong. So Morgan was extremely brave. She barely blinked an eye. The doctor who has been in practice many years was very impressed. So was I. As soon as she was done all Morgan could think about was if she was good enough to get another little pet shop toy from walmart. Hey bribery has worked this far I am not going to stop now. And of course with such reviews from the doctor a mother couldn't refuse. So she now has the much desired Ostrich, and a pelican. She is one happy camper. We'll wait and see what happens when the pain medication wears off.

OK OK OK

I get it Joker is scary. But so am I. I thought it was fitting. I understand if you hated the Joker background. I changed it just for you. I had to the only one person that reads this blog hated it. he he he ( just kidding I hope there's more, like atleast 3.....) Anyway hopefully you enjoy the new blogger background. You can't go wrong with diamonds. Diamonds are a girls best friend. ( wait it might be my only friend.........he he he)

Amazing........... She lives to another birthday

Morgan will be turning 9 on August 11th . She can hardly wait She has asked for a 4 wheeler. ( I hope she has a rich uncle and we find him soon.....) Morgan is "the middle child". And she never lets us forget it and she definitely uses it to her advantage. Morgan is amazing! She is smart, funny, courageous talented, willful, full of spunk, and attitude. ( I am sure she was hand picked by my mom just for me.) When it comes to jumping farther, climbing higher, screaming louder, running faster, or laughing harder Morgan is always up to the challenge. Morgan is fearless, as long as you are not human and try to speak to her. The one challenge Morgan does have that she has not figured out how to conquer is her brother. (That's been a challenge for almost 6 yrs) Morgan makes us laugh, makes us crazy, and most of all she is the life of the party! We love you Morgan and hope your birthday is awesome! Butterfly kisses! Love Mom, Dad, Micah, and Thad.

And we all wish him a very happy birthday! Love - Val, Micah, Morgan, and Thad

Real women Hike in flip flops!

As part of our weekend at the cabin (mentioned in the previous post) we went out for a hike upto the lake. My niece only brought flip flops for the weekend, not knowing that we were going to the cabin. So being the coolest Aunt ever, I decide to wear my flip flops too. Whining is always better with a partner. But it actually wasn't bad. It was like a pedicure, but the end result we ended up with uglier feet then when we started. Good thing we didn't pay $25.00 for it. But I have a new found respect for the Flip Flops. I already wear them with almost anything, and now i can hike in them too. Flip Flops definitly top my chart as one of the greatest creations ever! I love Flip Flops!

This is so on the blog.........

This weekend we spent up at Mike's Mom and Dad's cabin. And it was an incredible weekend. I had my sisters 3 (out of 4) kids and I think I can speak for all of us when we say we had a great weekend. I love having my nieces and nephew. Our favorite phrase of the weekend is " this is so on the blog!" Although I can't share all 100 plus pictures of the weekend. Here were a few to show all the things we did. I am so proud of my all "my kids" I love them so much. Sam, Julie, Micah, Nik, Morgan, and Thad thanks for being who you are. You teach me so much about life and what is important. Each one of you are so talented, beautiful, handsome, incredible, funny, loveable, amazing... I could go on but I think you all get it. Love you all !!!!!! (And you will love this, if I tell you you'll love this. he he he)

Soccer season has officially started.

YEAH! It's that time again for soccer mom's everywhere to be defined by the never empty minivan filled treats, water, and of course diet coke. Morgan started Soccer today. This is a new experience for us because she is playing on a developmental team. It not only costs more, but it will be time consuming as well. Morgan will be practicing 2 and 3 times a week for 3 hours each practice. We will travel to salt lake for games, and she will have many opportunities to play in tournaments. But after watching her in action today it is definitly worth the investment. Morgan was all smiles today. (And for all those that know my middle child you know that is a huge accomplishment.) Morgan is very athletic. She is also very competitive. We took that last year off of soccer and I had forgotten how much I actually enjoy it. (That is now that we only have 1 kid instead of 3 playing) This will be a great time to share with Morgan, something that she really loves. As the picture shows she wasted no time. She went right out and played her little heart out. I am sure she hasn't worked this hard since she ran a 5k race. (if even then) As we headed out of practice today she decided that she would need cold stone to help her through the pain tonight. We all agreed!

Shout Out!

Thanks for playing. Here are the directions:1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Statue of Liberty....eat your heart out!

I think we could stand in for the Statue of Liberty...... don't you? The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. This is one that brings back great childhood memories. We always celebrated the 4th of July I am sure what is typical of most families, parade, family and friends, bbq, and fireworks. But everything in between it what made it good. This year Callee stood in proxy for my lack of family and as you can see We had so much fun!!!!! Maybe too much fun. But that's what making memories is all about! Stay tuned for more photos from the 24th celebration.
